I have been taking care of my cat since birth, It's been 3 years and I gave her to my uncle for his birthday, I moved in with him and I have been raising the cat with me since I lived there, I'm moving away and I of course will leave the cat. She adores me so much and I to her, But she was a gift. Do you think she she will be crying or something or just forget about me???

Your cat will NOT forget you, find a way to take her with you, if you have an understanding uncle, he'll let you take her.
Go away for a week without her, if she pees on your pillow and poops in your shoes, take her, she is telling you she is scared of being abandoned by you and I think you sound like a caring person, so try it and see what happens.
They get very depressed when their partner abandons them.
Please reconsider, you will not regret it.
Good luck

She Will Be OK...One thing going for her is that HER enviroment isnt changing..You just arent going to be in it..It will be alot less stressful than putting her in a strange home THEN leaving Her.Cats adjust to that as well..She Will Miss you but hopefully you can visit and your Uncle is familiar with her so It will work out.I dont think she will forget you but I dont think she will Cry and Mourn..Its just not a Cats Way!

I am sure she will miss you. My husband and I have a really great dog that is very attached to my husband. My hubby had a very serious stroke in March of this year and was hospitalized for 6 weeks. She was very lost without him here and kept going to the door and looking for him. She knew he was somewhere because she could smell him on me. My husband came home and she didn't leave his side for days. So, yes the cat will miss you. Could she become depressed? Yes she could, but if your uncle treats her well, she will soon overcome your absence.

Welllllllllllllll cats actually can become depressed. they won't eat or drink and all they will do is lay around and i know this because my cat did this when we got rid of her sister who also used to live with us.

she'll probably miss you..does your uncle love her...care about her..take good care of her? if any of these questions are no..then ask him if he really wants the cat..if not...grab kitty and run when you move out....OR...you could also offer him another kitty..tell him you realize that you cant life w/o kitty..that'll it break your heart to move w/o her...and that you'd like to get him another pet in its place....if kitty does stay w/your unlce..dont worry..they remember those that love them...

Does she get along well with your uncle? Does he love her? If you answered yes to both those questions, I think she will be ok.

Yes, animals miss their loved ones, just like humans do.

That's so sad. She probably will learn to live without you but I don't think she'll ever forget you. Sorry.
