yes, satan is real adn alive, and is the worst liar in the world. Satan is of the world. That is why we live in all this sin. Cuz the world is Satan's house. God is real even more and waaaaay more powerful than satan. Satan tricks ppl and makes them do bad things. If u don't want to believe int and accept that God and everything in the Bible is real and true, then too bad. But when Jesus comes back to earth to save all his people, u'll wonder why u didn't believe in Him.

Everyone is gullible but no more gullible than you. To even assume you are some kind of authority on the Bible and Religion. These people will eat you alive. They'll have you burning in Hell Fire and Brimstone before the devil knows you are dead. Like that is some kind of proof they never spoke of him until King David. Apparently then you believe in King David. What of King Saul prior to King David. What of the Witch of Endor Who called Solomon from his grave for king Saul. It wasn't the witch of Endor she stepped bask so afraid. Only God could call Solomon from his grave. and only God could make the Devil for man surely could not. Red with horns and a long pointed tail always carrying a pitch fork. Beware he is easily recognizable you could spot him a mile away. Don't let him get his pincers in you boy sleep well tonight. xx

The truth is not determined by what you believe. You are very rude and judgmental to come to a Christian site, where Christians spread Gods love and tell us how we are not "really intelligent" and that we are "gullible". I feel very sad for you. You have hostility and anger festering inside of you. The anger is directed towards God and Gods people. This is the work of the antichrist. Satan is in the first book of the Bible. Who do you think tempted Eve? Satan knows the scripture and he twists it in the minds of his followers. That is how he operates. He has you under his control and it is really sad to see how angry, bitter and hateful you are as a result of his control over you. Mark these words...you will come to see the truth of God. This is living tetstimony Christ lives, he is present here and now.
Genesis 3:1
NOW THE serpent was more subtle and crafty than any living creature of the field which the Lord God had made. And he [Satan] said to the woman, Can it really be that God has said, You shall not eat from every tree of the garden?

Satan is before you or me or anyone else on this earth. Of course you don't believe in him because he is a great deceiver. You probably think that God is to blame for all the evil in society, don't you? Read the book of Job which is countlessly older than King David. Satan is mentioned there. In fact, read Genesis and Satan is found in the Garden of Eden. Satan was created by God to be a guardian to God's glory. Satan was made the most beautiful and wisest of all the angels. Unfortunately he took pride in himself and said that he would make his throne above God's. So God cast him out of Heaven along with 1/3 of all the angels. He is also very charismatic. Those angels would've known better. Now they will spend an eternity in the Lake of Eternal Fire.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

Buddy has a very interesting point. The bible is made of metaphores and people take it the wrong way. I find all religions interesting and don't believe in one either. I believe the answers were looking for are way more complex and difficult to understand and I dont think any religion or opinion can describe it. And that goes two ways, why i dont believe in religion and dont agree with you

I think Satan is just a reprensentation of evil. Back then, having a someone that was evil reincarnate was easiar to talk. Or maybe
Christians just thought they could convert more people if they scared the hell out of everyone
