I think you should just give her some time. Later ask her if she is ok. If she is ok then you should talk to her. You might feel a little better.

I have a mean mom too and that is normally because she is unhappy with her self. Since things are not going the way she want's it when she want's it how she want's it , untill she gets everything her way she will not ease off. Make sure she does not steal your daily sunshine. Find out why your mom is the way she is. Some parents believe in tough love and may be that is what she is doing

Well sweetie all I can say is simply pray for understanding. Your mom may not realize what she's doing to you.
Have you tried talking to her to find out what's going on.
Why is sh mean, what is being said or done?
Just pray for strength and everything will work it's self out.
.......try talking to a relative or some other adult to help you if you feel like it's getting to be too much.
There's always someone out there to help you.

Maybe she just doesn't like the things you or others in your family do and is showing displeasure. Try acting differently see if it clears up. . .just don't run away. Running away shows weakness in a most situations. Just try to stay off her bad side. . .she's probably stressed about life, work, etc. Most parents can act that way. Also, whatever you do, DON'T TALK BACK! That's the worst thing you can do. She will probably become meaner.

well, my mom is not so nice either. I am 22 and she has never changed. I just had to learn that she is the way she is and no one in the world will ever change that. I wish you lots of luck. It really sucks.

She probably just loves you and you don't understand why she's being mean. Trust me, I'm a mom and when I'm looking out for my son's best, he thinks I'm being mean.

Tell her you love her. Figure of what the problem is, tell her you love her and move on.
