I have long, thick, blond hair that's mostly frizzy. I want to get a curling iron, but my mom won't let me because she says it ruins your hair. Grrr!!! Any suggestions?

Alright, sponge curlers. They curl your hair very well. But if your hair is long you might want to use something along the lines of Hairart Super Rollers. They're best for setting long hair in curls. You simply dry your hair and then put them in. You roll your hair along the roller, and then bring the two ends together. For best use put them in before sleeping, and take them out in the morning. With thick hair, you don't want to put them on with your hair still wet, they won't dry. And blow drying your hair with the rollers in will just create more frizz. For the frizziness you might try something like Biosilk Silk Therapy. Just apply when your hair is dry, before you put on the rollers. Do not apply too much though because it will cause your hair to appear greasy.

And simply tell your mother, no heat, no damage.

Are you speaking a pair of curling iron or with rollers? With a curling iron I continuously clamp it on the ideal and pull it each of ways right down to the top collectively as liberating the lever so as that there is not any longer plenty stress on my hair. I pull it so as that all the hair is below the holder section and then twist it up the hair. i comprehend that's no longer how they do it in salons, yet it incredibly is the sole way i will get it to artwork. With rollers i take advantage of the papers that are meant to apply with perms. section the hair and wrap the paper around the section long approaches and pull all a thank you to the top. carry the paper there collectively as you wrap around your curler. wish this facilitates!

curling irons only ruin your hair if they r too hot but again here we are with the VO5 (y would think i worked for em but i don't promise) rub some of it in your hands then rub it on your hair it will help control the frizz i would even suggest rubbing leave in conditioner on it after it dries as well thats the way i did mine when i had a perm Good Luck

give this a go -

after washing & conditioning comb your hair (while it's still wet)

then

take sections and twist them round your finger (like you're going to do ringlets)

then leave them like that til they dry naturally.

this does take a while and might not work - but it's free and worth a go, it stops my hair going frizzy. you could try using a product before you twist - make sure you're not going anywhere important or anything when you do it first time just in case it sticks out or something.

it dosent matter if its a curler or a straightner it WILL ruin ur hair. if u do get one try not to use it TOO much or else ur hair will be dead and unshiny. use shampoo that will brighten ur hair and make it shiny. use an anti-frizz spray on ur hair before u curl it. tell ur mom that u wont use it TOO much, but u'll use it once a week and on spaecial occasions. tell me it it works

If you don't overuse a curling iron it will probably. a Also you might want to try a straightener.
