This is the easiest question to answer about evolution yet it never ceases to pop-up. The answers are given repeatedly but they just ask the same question later on. This is the most answered question about evolution yet still the most asked.

because the willfully ignorant refuse to learn. They don't want an answer, they just want to have someone tell them Yes, of course you are correct. What is even sadder is that they equate religion with evolution, like we are saying you either have to believe the bible, or evolution.

Creationists basically are looking for reasons to support what they want to believe, which generally means discrediting what they don't want to believe. While thats a normal human characteristic, it's also one that retards human intellilectual progress and preserves ignorance. Don't expect them to consider the overwhelming evidence against their belief; such people have had tunnel vision for thousands of years.

Because they lack both education and intelligence.
And many of them are gullible enough to believe that Ken Hovind is a real PHD...
That's where the problems really start...

Mindless repetition of empty rhetoric. They can't answer the question, so they believe it will stump people who can think. It's incredible how little they learn.

Because they just don't get it. I think they must have slept though every science class they ever had.

The "monkey" one is the one I get sick of. It comes up at least as often.

The level of stupidity of the question just shocks me. Do they know how stupid they sound? It's the equivilent of saying "If you came from your parents, why do they still exist?"
