Since your 21 and maybe in good health, your exam would be to check your bp, heart rate, maybe some chem test, your weight. Unless you have a serious problem or family history of something your visit would be quick. But don't feel left out, people with serious issues are lucky to get a full 10 mins. of attention with their patients. So who knows how many people's health issues are simply skipped over. Because a doctor in a 10 min time frame can only address on problem, you have to make another appointment for the other ones. Plus you are at the age where I hope there should be nothing going on health wise for you. Doctor's really can't be doctor's and yeah, it sucks for all patients.

A daily check up????? First of all, if he is going daily, it would depend on what you are going there for? Is this doctor your shrink? Your family doctor? Your surgeon after surgery??? Definitely, a good doctor would ask you how you are feeling and what they are seeing you for today. However, if this doctor is your daily psych doctor, he may want to ask you if you heard any voices the night before and if yes, what did they say?

Review what you found wrong with your current physician relationship.
Prioritize each item.
Write down your concerns on paper.

Ask your family and friends for their opinions on their own physicians. Select a new physician.

AT your first appointment be assertive but not aggressive. Most physicians respect directness but as with most of us, they will be turned off with bluntness.
