That's because He is not the Almighty YHWH Elohim whom should be worship and be praised. He is not YHWH Elohim but He is the first creation of YHWH Elohim and thru Him everything was created. That means all creations came to existance because of Him or thru Him all the things were created. (even the angels). Proverbs 8:12-30 He was called Wisdom and later John described Him as the Word. John 1:1-
12 “I, Wisdom, have made prudence my dwelling.
Find out knowledge and discretion.
13 The fear of Yahweh is to hate evil.
I hate pride, arrogance, the evil way, and the perverse mouth.
14 Counsel and sound knowledge are mine.
I have understanding and power.
15 By me kings reign,
and princes decree justice.
16 By me princes rule;
nobles, and all the righteous rulers of the earth.
17 I love those who love me.
Those who seek me diligently will find me.
18 With me are riches, honor,
enduring wealth, and prosperity.
19 My fruit is better than gold, yes, than fine gold;
my yield than choice silver.
20 I walk in the way of righteousness,
in the midst of the paths of justice;
21 That I may give wealth to those who love me.
I fill their treasuries.
22 “Yahweh possessed me in the beginning of his work,
before his deeds of old.
23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning,
before the earth existed.
24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth,
when there were no springs abounding with water.
25 Before the mountains were settled in place,
before the hills, I was brought forth;
26 while as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields,
nor the beginning of the dust of the world.
27 When he established the heavens, I was there;
when he set a circle on the surface of the deep,
28 when he established the clouds above,
when the springs of the deep became strong,
29 when he gave to the sea its boundary,
that the waters should not violate his commandment,
when he marked out the foundations of the earth;
30 then I was the craftsman by his side.
I was a delight day by day,
always rejoicing before him,

John 1:1-4 and 1:10-14
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made through him. Without him was not anything made that has been made.
4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world didn’t recognize him.
11 He came to his own, and those who were his own didn’t receive him.
12 But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God’s children, to those who believe in his name:
13 who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 The Word became flesh, and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the one and only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.

‘But isn’t Jesus called a god in the Bible?’ someone may ask. This is true. Yet Satan is also called a god. (2 Corinthians 4:4) At John 1:1, which refers to Jesus as “the Word,” some Bible translations say: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” But notice, verse 2 says that the Word was “in the beginning with God.” And while men have seen Jesus, verse 18 says that “no man hath seen God at any time.” (Authorized or King James Version) So we find that some translations of verse 1 give the correct idea of the original language when they read: “The Word was with God, and the Word was divine,” or was “a god,” that is, the Word was a powerful godlike one. (An American Translation) Clearly, Jesus is not Almighty God. In fact, Jesus spoke of his Father as “my God” and as “the only true God.”

Did Jesus ever say that he was God? No, he never did. Rather, in the Bible he is called “God’s Son.” And he said: “The Father is greater than I am.” Also, Jesus explained that there were some things that neither he nor the angels knew but that only God knew. (Mark 13:32) Further, on one occasion Jesus prayed to God, saying: “Let, not my will, but yours take place.” (Luke 22:42) If Jesus were the Almighty God, he would not have prayed to himself, would he? In fact, following Jesus’ death, the Scripture says: “This Jesus God resurrected.” (Acts 2:32) Thus the Almighty God and Jesus are clearly two separate persons. Even after his death and resurrection and ascension to heaven, Jesus was still not equal to his Father.

As for the “Holy Spirit,” the so-called third Person of the Trinity, this is not a person but God’s active force. John the Baptizer said that Jesus would baptize with holy spirit, even as John had been baptizing with water. Hence, in the same way that water is not a person, holy spirit is not a person. (Matthew 3:11) What John foretold was fulfilled when, following the death and resurrection of Jesus, holy spirit was poured out on his followers gathered in Jerusalem. The Bible says: “They all became filled with holy spirit.” (Acts 2:4) Were they “filled” with a person? No, but they were filled with God’s active force. Thus the facts make clear that the Trinity is not a Bible teaching. Actually, long before Jesus walked the earth gods were worshiped in groups of three, or trinities, in places such as ancient Egypt and Babylon.

Because he was and still is 100% man and was and still is 100% God. God gave power to anointed priests to pray so Jesus being both a man and a priest had the authority and power to pray to Holy God just as other men who were priests did. Before Jesus came only priests could go into the temple and pray. Jesus was and still is a high priest. He had and still has authority to pray for all of mankind as He did in the Garden of Gethsemane and elswere. The bible says He is at the right hand of the Father making intersesory prayers for all saints (followers of Christ) continually. So you see? Jesus is still praying for all thoes who believe in Him.

Jesus deliberately "set aside" his divinity in order to function truly as a man, in all things, except sin.

Jesus prayed to his father ALL the time.

Jesus, the man, received all his power from God, just as all men do.

His apostles went on to do greater works than he did, by that same power.

One of the best ways to find out what was intended when we read of things that happened in the past is to find out what those that actually heard it understood. If we read that let's say, George Washington went to get the train, we would not think he went to get on Amtrak. That type of train had not been invented yet. We could then possibly read that he was at a wedding and then we could understand that he may have gotten the train off the wedding gown the bride had.

We can understand what Jesus said by looking to see what those that actually heard Jesus understood Him to say. At one time, when asked, Jesus did say He was "I AM" The listeners understood Jesus to say HE WAS GOD! Thomas called Jesus "My GOD!" and Jesus did not correct Thomas.

This does show that Jesus was indeed God so we have to then dig deeper to understand some other things such as your question.

Look at Luke 2:51 and we will see that Jesus was subject to Mary and Joseph. Were they greater then Jesus? Should we therefore worship them because Jesus was in subjection to them? Of course not. The reason Jesus was in subjection to them is because at that time..Jesus was a minor. In time, when Jesus became a man, this subjection was no longer valid. Both of His parents had to go to HIM for salvation. They had to trust Jesus just as we do today. (before the death of Christ, people looked forward to it as indicated by their sacrifice of animals)

Now just as that subjection was conditional, Jesus was living on Earth as a HUMAN and as man. He humbled Himself and became a man and in doing so, He willingly set aside His deity and became a man. It was in this position that HE prayed to the Father. Jesus was setting an example for us to follow.

Jesus is the son of God. There are scriptures where the heavens opened and God the Father said "This my son in whom I am well pleased" or Hear yea Him.

What do you know about Jesus, except what somebody you
dont know said so in a book. Nothing was written about Jesus
until 50 years after his death. If you were 60 yrs old and wrote
about something that happened 50 years ago when you were
10, what knowledge would you really have about anything?
Dont be a parrot.

good question....Jesus is deity but He is not almighy God. He was sent from the Father and is God's Son. He said He was doing the will of the Father, not His own....so they are not one and the same.

"None may come to THE FATHER but through me. The Christ is different from the man Jesus. Jesus was such a pure soul that The Christ was able to express through him without restriction (imagine light beaming through a pure unflawed crystal as opposed to light trying to make it's way through a flawed ,fractured and discoloured crystal )Each are doorways to the greater being
God expresses Itself through The Christ which expressed itself through Jesus.. He also knew that all power and wisdom originatres from the one singular soucre of God and when he prayed to God he connected himself to that source. '
"For I of myself can do nothing"

Even in the Hebrew scriptures, God spoke to himself, for instance, "Let us make Man in our own image."
Besides, since Jesus was human as well as God, he did everything that humans do. He worshiped and prayed with his fellow Jews as well as in private. He insisted on being baptized by John, even though John protested, "But I should rather be baptized by you." To this Jesus replied, "It is best to do everything that God requires."
