what hair gel has the stongest hold, i currently use the hair gel made by Redken, but it is just not strong enough
P.S- i have thick and sort of frizzy hair which is why i need something with a strong hold

try the VO5 "curvaceous curls" mousse, instead of a gel. it helps keep the shape of your curls without the weird stiffness of gel.
also, try running a few drops of hair serum through your hair when it's damp, it will dry smoother and shinier
redken makes different products with highre levels of hold- look at the number on the fromd to the container. the higher the number, the stronger the hold.

I would purchase a smoothing/straightening cream. John Freida makes a good one. If your hair is naturally wavy, you may wish to use a ceramic flat iron to straighten your hair. Many girls use these with great results. Does your hairdresser give you a blowout when you have your hair cut and styled? I know it is hard to achieve the look of a blowout at home, so I would recommend you purchase a ceramic flat iron. They can be pricy however, but they are sturdy, less damaging on your hair than conventional flat irons, and give you the salon look at home without the price.

I have curly thick hair and that is the ONLY thing that will hold my hair down, but you have to get the brown/black looking kind b/c the clear one flakes.
You can get a small one for like $1 at Wal-Mart but I know almost all beauty supply stores sell them. I'm telling you I dont use anything else to keep my hair down and that really works

Im not particularly fond of gel.
I personally like to scrunch my curls when they are dry with a light mousse, and the spray a little bit of hairspray on them. Your hair looks clean and fresh without that "wet" look!
I hope this is good advice for you. I LIVE BY IT!

Go to target and go to the hair products aisle you will see a lot of choices I would suggest you go for the hair gel that says CEMENT HOLD.. it tames even the frizziest and curliest unruly hair.
