ok so i have a breeding pair of parakeets and this is their first time laying but i have alreayd bred another set of parakeets.
BUT THIS TIME MY FEMALE SEEMS TO BE HAVING TROUBLES LAYING THE EGG. i was worried that it might be egg binding but i dont' know what that looks like or how to treat it.

i know this is kinda gross but i went in and noticed that her poop was sticking to her tail feathers around her vent, so i took her into the bathroom and cleaned it off....it was nasty. but i noticed that she looks like she is having blood or something around that area and i want to know what to do.

please either tell me what to do (in great detail) or give me a link to a website that would tell me what to do.

The following website has great info on egg binding. The only things you can really do at home are to lubricate the vent area, keep the bird warm, and raise the humidity. There are more details on the website, and a lot about the measures a veterinarian can take for you. Best of luck

the 1st element you would be able to desire to do is to ascertain what you're feeding the fowl it incredibly is making it opt for to place. Parakeets lay whilst there is an abundance of foodstuff. it incredibly is the project with pellets. They make the fowl think of that good situations are rolling in so as that they initiate laying. Get some elementary parakeet seed. (canary-white millet-oats) do no longer feed something to boot the easy seed. One tablespoon of seed an afternoon is all they opt for. the final element to do now's to leave the eggs on my own. she will end the grasp and would desire to take a seat on them. it incredibly is okay, as long as she is pre-prepared approximately those eggs she is far less probably to place back.
