I'm 18 and only 5'1, and well most of the people I know seem to make a big deal about it. I honestly dont see what the big deal is. So can anyone out there enlighten me?

No there is nothing wrong with being short or tall. Be proud of who you are. I recently saw a middle aged person with skeletal dysplasia (or "dwarfism") who barely made it to my waist. She was by far the shortest person I have ever seen with this type of condition. She walked proud as can be down the street. I could only think "good for her." If there is nothing wrong with her, there is nothing wrong with you!!!:)

No there's nothing wrong with being short. U shouldn't let what other people say get to you, or make your self-esteem go low. Your height makes you, you and that's that. That shows that your not like everybody else and you have something different from them. You're a person just like them and you should be treated, just the same. How would they like it if you made a big deal out of one their flaws?

I'm 14 and only 4'10. I'm short too. I think there's nothing wrong with being short. I think people make a big deal out of it because they envy you. They wanna be shorter and not taller than the opposite sex. Being short is great because most guys like short girls--they don't really like the girls who are towering over them.

Don't feel insecure about your height. Hold your head high because being short is awesome!

I'm 5'1' too! I'm 32 and remember people always making a big deal about it. But hey, you fit in more places and don't have to duck!

People still sometimes make comments about how short I am, but usually I wear tall shoes or high heels and they don't notice until I take off my shoes! As long as you don't let it bother you, you'll be fine.

Honey, I am 19 and 5'0. I was a red belt in Karate and could take down every big guy in that class! I love being little because I fit into child size costumes and get away with trick or treating (As long as I wear a mask)! There is nothing wrong with being small. Remember, good things come in small packages!

NO! I am short. I'm not even five feet and I'm a teen! I actually know SEVERAL people my age who are the same height as me. I even know a few that are SHORTER! Yes you may get teased, but any1 who actually bullies you is a total loser.
There is nothing wrong with being short. Finding jeans may be hard, but that's it. Well actually, there are places that make jeans for petite girls.Being short actually has its advantages. For example, guys don't like when their gf's are taller than them. You'll never have to worry about that!
My mom and dad actually think something is wrong with me being short, but I don't care. I know that I'm perfectly fine. If the only thing that is "wrong" with me is my height, then I'm happy!

my best friend is really short. Short people rock, don't make a big deal out of what they say. YOu may be short but make sure they know your tough. Any one would be in for a rough time if they dared to get into a fist fight with my friend. You could try wearing high heels.

Height dowen't have anything to do with what kind of a person you are and it certainly doesn't make you a lesser person just because you are smaller than other people. You know the saying "Good things come in small packages"? Keep in mind that your personality can always outshine outer appearances. Just remember to be you and feel good about yourself, be confident and never forget to smile. you'll be surprised at how tall you will feel as soon as you shed your inferiority for being small.

if this was the only problem facing my life i would be glad. wait until you really have to face life, this will seem like a walk in the park. my wife is 4' 11" i am 6'2''. you do not have a big deal issue unless you create it in you're own mind. just be proud of who you are, remember ants can lift and move 100% of their size. i just wish i could run a mile in less than 9 minutes.
