Why should you christians push your religion down my throat!!!

It hurts my feelings because I don't celebrate your holiday.

There are millions of americans who get offended because they don't celebrate christmas.

When you display your house for christmas you are infringing on my right as an american!!!

Separation of church and state means you shall not preach your religion in the publics face!!!

I can't wait until we get an ATHEIST president, then we can finely do away with your fascism!!!

I have a question for you. Are you also offended when Jews celebrate Hanukkah? Are you also offended when when people celebrate Kwanzaa?
Or do you just have a problem with Christian people?

Q: Who's the one shoving their beliefs?
A: YOU

Um, I am a Christian and I don't feel like I should not do something just because you don't want me to. I mean, what do you want us to do if you tell us we can't wear shoes because it "offends" you?

Separation of Church and State was created to keep the government out of the Church but now it's used to keep the Church out of the government. Anyway, I don't get how Separation of Church and State has anything to do with this.

I'm sorry that it hurts your feelings because you don't celebrate Christmas. You can start anytime. No one is stopping you.

I really wish that you would give me some freedom of religion to celebrate the birth of the Man who saved my life.

Is okay if I celebrate the birthday of someone else who fills my life with joy?

Please forgive me for practicing freedom of religion. The way you're talking, you'd think people who celebrate are committing a crime.

I hope you think about the things I've said.
I'm really not trying to "shove my beliefs" at you.
I don't mean to came across as harsh, but this is a very important topic for me.

I am just celebrating this holiday like the majority of Americans do.

The Christians are not the only ones who decorate their homes for the Holidays. We are not pushing our beliefs down your throat. But you sure get offended at what we believe in. The only pushing on your questions are you. America was built on a Christian Foundation and if you don't like it, then you know what you can do about it. Infringe on your rights ?? You are telling us not to do what we like to do. We don't tell you that your house is ugly because it has not lights. You are one person who figures everything should go your way. Well you are 100% Wrong. Leave us Christians alone. This is America and your forgetting one word . FREEDOM ! If your offendedn too bad. That is your problem.

You're a troll trying to make atheists look bad.

No reasonable atheist would object to Christians decorating their OWN HOMES and PLACES OF WORSHIP as they choose, so long as no laws are being broken. That's exercizing freedom of religion, not "pushing religion down anyone's throat." It would be different if you were protesting about someone trying to tell YOU how you MUST or MUST NOT celebrate or put a religious display on public property where it does not belong. You'd be right, then, but you're not in this case. Learn tolerance.

Okay somebody needs to go back and study American History. Somebody needs to read the first Amendment. Have you ever thought that by making us take down our decorations that you are pushing your beliefs on us? First you take preyer out of the schools. Next you take the Ten commandments out of the park, because that is forcing religion on you. Nobody says that you have to read them or even believe them, heck you don't even have to look at them if you don't want to. You tried to take away the Pledge of Alliegance. Then you try to take away our CHRISTMAS decorations, because you can't stand to see our lights because the lights are apparently calling out to you that you have to become a Christian, it is only a matter of time. What is next. Are you going to force all hotels to take the Bibles out of their rooms? Are you going to make us take down our Churches and synagougs and Temples and Mosques and whatever else religious structure you see that is offending you?

Oh but I am sure that when they replace the Bible in the hotel room with Playboy that won't matter to you- that is freedom of speech because it is not religious. The bible is not Freedom of speech because it is religious. Wierd, there is a double standard here.

The First Ammendment says about religion- "CONGRESS (not every single American- CONGRESS) Shall pass no law concerning religion or prohibiting the free excersize there of."

Strange- there is nothing there about Americans who choose to openly practice their religion- oh wait there is- it says that laws can't be passed to prohibit them to. Strange. Oh guess what else is not mentioned, "Seperation of Chuch and State" I don't see that phrase. Intresting.

And even if that misused phrase was there. How is a private citizen decorating their house for a holiday, a violation of that. Unless Congress came out and forced them to put up thier pretty Icicle lights. Unless Congress just dropped that Giant Snow Globe in the front yard.

Only Congress can violate constitutional rights. A private Citizen cannot. You go through the constitution and find a place where it says that a private citizen can't express their opinions to another private citizen. You show me where it says that a private Citizen can't practice their religion openly, even if it "offends" some one.

You are so blinded by your hatred and your facism that you can't see that YOU are trying to supress the very thing that YOU are figting for.

Go read your constitution again. Study the lives of the founding fathers. I think that you will find that they never intended religion to be supressed, that is what you are trying to do.

Look If you don't really appreciate our Freedoms, then move to Iran, where they really do not have Freedom of religion.

I don't find it offensive, even the most offensive thing, the radio being overtaken by that sappy music, well, that's more annoying than offensive.
What I would find offensive is being forced to practice that religion even though it has nothing in it that I believe. What someone else does to live their life, that is up to them. If you want to decorate your house with a flamingo or a Santa I really am not bothered either way.
Are house decorations infringing on your rights? NO, forcing people to take them down would be infringing on theirs.

Excuse me, but I would not mind at all if some Jewish people decorated for Hannukah, or if any other religions decorated. You are making your own choice to be offended. And that's why there's freedom of religion. Muslims are allowed to wear Muslim necklace things, Christians are allowed to wear crosses, and other religions can do what they want too.

Plus, Christmas (and Hannakah, Kwanza, and others) are supposed to be a happy time too. There is no need for this rudeness. You are free to believe what you want to believe.

First you say we are pushing our religion we are not we are celebrating it. You want an Atheist leader to force your views on christians jews muslims hindues and other people of faith. Americans are also blessed with a law that says the goverment can not control you religion or stop you from preaching it to those who want to listen.

a lot of people who decorate their houses are not Christians....in fact as far as that goes...many of the people in government who r all about seperation of church and state get off work for Christmas which is a Christian holiday, so why dont u attack ur hypocritical brothers instead of Christians....we r not hurting u....and if it bothers u tha t much CLOSE UR EYES!!!! and get over it b/c most ppl decorate for Christmas no matter what their beliefs.
