This is what I would try. Get a half full glass of sparkling champagne. Put fresh red lipstick on and take a single sip, thus leaving a lipstick mark on the glass. Now get dressed up and prepare the shot of you in front of a mirror, with the glass in the shot of you putting on more lipstick. I think that would say it all.
Perhaps a little candle light? See if you can hold still enough for no flash?
Just some thoughts.

Take a picture at party with your makup on...maybe by some art?
