Some non-denominational churches are basically Baptist, but many others spring from a Restorationist background, like Churches of Christ. In a church like that, you might hear someone say that one can't be saved without being baptised, while Baptists have generally not believed that.

FYI: Historically, "Baptist" churches come from a tradition where churches are autonomous and democratically run, where baptism is offered to adults by immersion, and where church and state are kept separate for the sake of the church.

All depends on the individual congrigation... way too many variations to cover in this forum.... but just atending a "Baptist" church dose not make you a Baptist... But in my opinion if it is an independent or concervative then you made a good choice to attend...probably. For Those of The True Christian Faith there is only One Church and That is Th One of which Jesus The Christ is The Head.

Non-denominational churches almost always maintain Baptist theology. They just drop the name, for whatever reason. In other words, you will not see a non-denominational church practice infant baptism like Presbyterians do, nor will they recite historic creeds or catechisms.

Practically speaking, non-denominational churches are Baptist.

It depends which doctrine non-denominatinal(nd) churches are using. Some churches just say they are nd so they don't have to give a percentage of their tithes to an oranization head. But if they are following a Baptist doctrine, then you will NOT see much difference.

The different denominations are too vast to list on here. Just do a bit of research and it will come quickly...

Well yes my dear :-) ..generally, it is accepted, and has been for a long time, although it may sound ABSOLUTELY outrageous and may confuse you at first, and although only some of the great philosophers have been able to fully understand this concept, people who attend Baptist services are Baptists! *shocked* I know, just absorb this slowly, chew on it in little pieces, dont take it in all at once, you may go into shock. God bless you on your journey

If you go to the bathroom do you become a bathroom? Sorry Baptist, not a very good example. But you know what I'm saying.

No. You're a Baptist when you say you are.
