I would just walk on by, if I knew they guy was a child molestor.

one thing you have to know that no child has the right to be abused. I don't care if he is a cop he is not above the law do not let him get away with it. you have every right to report it you do not want to let the cop think he think he above the law. just report him and what you would do is report him to internal affairs remember you have nothing to be ashamed of to report this I wish more people would be like you. I wish someone would of report it when I was abused. No one did you sir are doing the right thing and protecting him I just which someone would of done it for me. don't sit on this cause chances are he will hurt other kids, so you don't want that therefore you have to protect the children. think about the children that what you have you have you have to protect them after all they come first. I would say report him and I do understand where you coming from you torn, but you best bet is to help that child and protect it only takes one to ruin the police department. that sad. that whole situation that you mention is sad.

In all honesty any person who would put there hands on a child or molest a child the same should be done to them....there is no cure for these people. They are sick and dangerous to our children!! I would get a couple of kicks in and a couple of more then walk on by like I never saw anything.....and hope they beat him to death!!!

It is sad in today's society that we have people that hurt children. But allowing law enforcement officers to circumvate the law for street justice is not only wrong but it is illegal. There are several policies and procedures and laws that us as law enforcement must follow. Lets also remember that the act you mention has serious reprecussions that could allow that sicko freedom instead of being placed in a jail where no children would be at risk or hurt again. As a law enforcement officer myself, I would report any other officer that would stoop to level of a thug. And I would encourage anyone that observed it to report it also. There are situations when force has to be used. But dragging someone away and beating them is the wrong way.

Report it.
No matter what the person did, it is up to judge and jury to decide. What is to say the cops wouldn't be able to beat the **** out of you and just tell someone you wqere a child molester. That is the great part about living in the United States... our freedoms, no matter who you talk about are precious.

Seriously? Don't let the cops do anything illegal. I have been a cop for 32 years and nothing, NOTHING is worse than cops who believe they are above the law. You have a moral obligation to report this and to know what is done about it. Is it OK if they steal something later and then hit the bars and prostitutes and....
You get the picture. If you're not part of the solution you're part of the problem. Don't congratulate them for beating someone up and later criticize them if they beat someone up that you disapprove of. It is easy to do what is right.

I would turn around and get away as quickly as possible.
Helping or reporting what cops do always is a bad idea for you.
Don't get involved. That is why they have internal affairs.

I would report them. Obviously child molesters deserve their punishment.
But to encourage policemen to play judge, jury, and executioner is another thing entirely. Perhaps it makes you feel macho getting to unleash your primal male aggressions on a criminal, but this is the United States, and not some corrupt third world country where the policemen get to do what they please. They are servants of the citizens here and it should stay that way.
If you feel vindicated encouraging police brutality, and vigilante justice is what gets you going then just leave this country and go to Africa or South America or something...

I'd ignore it if I knew it was a molester... otherwise, i would report it... I'm tired of cops getting away with anything they want
