Use Organic Roots products. The shampoo does wonders for getting out all the junk we put in our hair like gels, grease, etc. Secondly follow it up with Organic Roots Hair Mayonaise. It will do wonders for split ends, shedding and breakage. Follow the directions by leaving it in for 15 minutes or so. Rinse it out, then wash your hair again with the shampoo to make sure its all out. Then add a small amount of Organic Roots Carrot Oil and wrap your hair, DO NOT BLOW DRY. Let it air dry over night. Then the next day, flat iron it straight. Dont add any more heat for the next week or week and half. Roll it up if you need to in order to preserve your curls. Spray with Organic Roots oil sheen for sheen and body. If your hair is the type that gets dry, moisturize it with Organic Roots Carrot Oil to prevent dandruff and flakes. Repeat this process every 2 weeks or so and you will see results. Your hair with be stronger, healthier and will grow longer.

I would also stay away from a relaxer for a while, especially if you dont go to the shop every 2 weeks. You may want to try a "sew-in" weave. They last about 3 weeks and your hair is greased and braided underneath. Sew-ins are optimal, but they cost $100-200. NO micro braids! You need your edges =)

Happy Future Great Hair Day =)

I have been taking hair supplements for the past 3 years and here is what I have found.
ProCaps labs makes a great supplement called "Hair Skin and Nails" formula, here is the link for that
http://www.procapslabs.com/pcl/pages/pro...
This is in capsule form and easy to swallow. This company, ProCaps labs is also extremely reputable and carries pure and effective products.
I took GNC's Nourishair for four months, and supplemented it with extra Biotin tablets daily due to its low Biotin content. I took 2500 micrograms extra Biotin with the GNC pills.
The Procaps hair vites have 2500 micrograms of Biotin in them, and don't really require extra Biotin be taken, but I do take an additional 2500 micrograms of Biotin for a daily total of 5000 micrograms of Biotin.
My hair is growing in thick and dark and quite quickly. My hair used to be very slow growing, but all of these supplements have really made a difference.
The only way to really change the health of your hair is by taking supplements that work internally on the follicle where hair is made, any shampoos or oils or other topically applied things do nothing to change hair's structure, that can only happen with systemically provided support, which means supplements that you take internally.. Keep in mind, regardless of how many or how much you take of any supplement, hair is never going to grow at a "Jack and the beanstalk" type of rate, the most you can hope for is to improve the strength and health of each hair follicle and to see an incremental increase in the rate of its growth

My hair used to be really short, now it is half way down my back. I started taking "hair, skin, & nails" vitamins. I stopped putting perms, bleach and different types of hair colors ( permanent and temp) I started conditioning my hair daily with wave cream and leaving it in a pony tail. I did not comb it very often. Next thing you know my hair grew.

I must admit I had red in the bible, (corinthians 1 or 2) that by natures standards a womans glory was her long hair. So I believed it and asked God to help my hair grow. That is when I realized that I was not getting enough vitamins for my hair, and I was damaging it by always placing different cemicals in it. I also figured from what I read in the bible, that this was for any woman despite their color.

I am black and my hair is long and beautiful.

A lady once told me she washed her hair with an egg for months and her hair started to grow pretty long and thicker. I think alot of the long hair people have come from our heredity. the rest of us have to work at it a little harder sometimes to make our hair longer.
