Depends on what extensions and how many. If the extension requires attaching to another site to retrieve data, such as AccuWeather, then it will slow down startup. Same thing with extensions that are rather large, like the web developer.

Also if you have every extension on the Mozilla site, it will slow down your load.

Finally since v2, FF checks your extensions and themes for new versions, every time you start up (that might not be true, but its at least every day). So if you have a lot of them, it take a second or two to check them all.

Yes. Noticed the same thing when I installed the Accu-weather extension.

Yes but with today's CPU,RAM and 7200rpm HDD it's just a matter of few seconds only.

If you have loads, yes.

Could just be a lack of ram though :)
