I work with this man and we got close. We told each we are very attracted to each other, but I just got out of a relationship so I told him I wasn’t ready to date and needed some time to myself. We continued to talk on the phone for a couple months and continued to spend time getting to know each other.

One day we were on the phone and my daughter called on the other line. I asked him if he could hang on a second and answered. I told my daughter to “wait a few minutes and I’ll be down to meet you”. I got back on the phone with him and apologize. He asked "who was that?" I said my daughter. He said, okay I‘ll let you go, sounds like you have to get going.

Since then he has been rather cool, does not ask me about myself anymore and seems to be avoiding me. When I leave a message I say it is work related. He doesn’t return my calls unless I force the issue and then he says he is busy. I feel like I am bothering him but I need to get my job done. What should I do?

He is probably the jealous type. Sounds like he does not believe it was your daughter.

Be thankful it worked out well for you. If he is like this, you are better not dating him.

he probably doesn't want to be with a woman that has kids. if u guys work together and he's being wierd. tell him to to stop acting like a highschool sophmore. u guys are grown and need put ur differences aside and keep personal feelings out of the way of work.
