My son is 17 and got an under age drinking ticket in our home town in Wisconsin. I heard that he wouldn't be able to get his drivers license until he was 21. Is this true? His ticket was also $200 more than everyone elses even though he didn't supply the alcohol does anyone know why?

Unless he was driving while he got this underage drinking ticket, I see no problem with him getting his license.

Criminal records do not effect driving, unless they are directly involved. I.e. Driving a car into someone or drinking and driving.

Underage drinking on the street/club where ever will have no effect on your son obtaining his license.

Well im not sure about there but i know here when i was younger (15) I got introuble for underage drinking and they took my license for 2 years. If he was driving a car then I say they will be gone til he is 21 otherwise they will probably just make him wait til he is 19.

I got introuble in my own home so the answer above is wrong.

whilst the shrink for a guy or woman decrease than 21 making use of a motor vehicle is quite low, in simple terms .01%, it nonetheless calls for that quantity, no longer in simple terms "any" alcohol. If the officer suggested you weren't over the shrink, he became in all probability telling you the very fact--the attempt you took did no longer tutor which you have been over .01% (or have been so close to to that that device errors could conceal the version). it may in all probability take approximately 6 hours so which you will thoroughly metabolize the alcohol from a 23.5 ounce can of a 12% beverage, so it particularly is quite plausible you probably did no longer exceed the shrink. If he ought to no longer cite you, he additionally ought to no longer lawfully inform you to circulate to Denny's or do something different than launch you. on the different hand, it particularly is plausible which you occurred to fulfill an uncommonly spectacular officer who desperate to help you slide with a .01% or extra--it relatively is quite fortunate on the grounds that while you're referred to for that it comes with a a million 3 hundred and sixty 5 days license suspension. however the nice and cozy button is, if he did no longer cite you on the time, you're unlikely to be referred to sooner or later.
