Don't some people use this as a cop out to be bad? I mean what about the good everyday guy/girl who makes mistakes and learns in life without using this method, does that mean he will be going to "hell" or what?? I mean cant you just be the best person you can be in life without worrying about heaven or hell? The good dude should get rewarded in the afterlife where you chill and have no worries, just my thought..

The only way to get into heaven is to except Jesus Christ into your heart, and belive that God sent him to die on the cross to save us all. Now i am no expert and i probally dont have any idea what im talking about, so i suggest that you get several other opinions, but i believe that even if your not a christian, but your a good person you do get rewarded possibly by not going to hell. if you have ever read anything by C.S. Lewis, especially the Chronicles of Narnia, he implies that non-christians do not go to hell, because has so much mercy, that they simply dont exist anymore, but in the great divorce he writes it like all of the non-christians go to a place like hell, but they have the chance to go to heaven. I really have no clue what im talking about, but i suggest reading The Great Divorce and anything by C.S. Lewis. i hope i helped.

i understand your point. but you still need god and Jesus in your life. church is just a building a place to meet others who follow Christ and share beliefs. prayer is in many forms, singing, just chatting like you would a friend. its not always head down, eyes closed. prayer is used for many reasons, asking help for a problem, directions of a path of confusion, a wonderment of sorts, here is one thing you said, regarding realizing and learning from mistakes, you originally taught that a situation is a mistake, who started whats good and whats bad, gods and Jesus words taught what was good or bad in life's situations. it started from god and Jesus teaching, but so many people don't want to admit where life started, who made the rules and why to follow those rules, many say Wicca was first, many say Greek gods came first, some even claim Mohammad came first. god created the earth not the others. it i had a choice of course it would be heaven. i would not want to be in a lake of fire, or endless torment of the any wrongs i have ever done. you can worship Christ and god in your home, pray how you feel not as others dictate.

Well, do you think you are a good person? Have you ever told a lie? Have you ever looked at another person and lusted over them? Have you ever taken God's name in vain? If you have done those three things, then you have sinned, those are 3 of the Ten Commandments. there are 7 more if you would like to look them up. :) "Good people" are only good in their minds, they are not really "good". Therefore, we need to believe in Jesus to take away our sins. So if we aren't good, then "not good" people go to Hell. So, to answer your question, one must decide if they are going to go to heaven or hell by deciding what they believe. If you don't address this question, it will be addressed for you when you die, guaranteed.

Anyone who is " worrying about heaven or hell" should go to those who teach about and find out all that they can for their own peace of mind.

Heaven is the "place" of God and is there for those who want the fellowship of the God who created all things. Many people don't "worry" enough to overcome their intent to avoid God.
Hell is just being excluded from God for eternity.

That attitude would be great in life... but those kind do tend to get ripped off a lot... as far as the God stuff part... God makes the rules. You and I do not. We have to live by God's rules not mans if we want to get into heaven... Only those who come to God in The Way He prescribes will get into heaven... sin or no sin dose not matter... being "good" by mans standards is not what God requires... you can not make up your own way into heaven... It is God's Way or no way.

isn't it terrible that we all pray when things are going bad or we need help then we remember to pray but when things are going great in our lifes we hardly ever remember to pray and thank god that every thing is going good for us?

You should read Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch. You would enjoy it. It speaks of this very notion and really puts a different perspective (for me anyway) on God and life. For me, it was very liberating to read, and I've since read many other sources which correspond to this belief of God and how to live.
