I don't know how general or specific that question is but I would like to share mine.
Like anyone else, I have been in and out of relationships. My longest was five years and the shortest was two months.
The "third-kind" relationship is a very challenging one because men are generally active with the sheer power of the testosterone. Hence, it is common in this relationship that one leaps to another man as the opportunity arises. Nevertheless, I have met guys who have been in control of their wild side and are aiming for lasting and meaningful relationships.
At my age right now, I have realized that relationships will more likely become stable and nurturing depending on the maturity level and the life experiences of a person. And one's values system is also as important.
Let me tell you that I am now longing for a long term relationship amidst all the break-ups and falling apart happening everyday. I just believe that with the technological advances we have today, people can easily find a mate from accross the globe. It is easy to change partners. We are all thrilled with the myriad of possibilities. However, some people just want more meaning and nurturing. I don't know what the future would be like with all these things going on. It is really breaking apart our society.
