actually global warming is a very serious deal. They blame CO2 for all of it when its actually a lot of factors. Over the past years it is shown that the earth has been getting warmer. The polar ice caps are melting at an extremely fast rate, they are predicted to be melted by 2040. Yes the sea level will rise and all coastal areas now, will be underwater. This is also bad because the ice caps are FRESH water, if they melt they will reduce the salinity of the ocean which could kill a lot of ocean life. This would also stop the circulation of water which brings cool water towards the equater and vice versa. This would ultimately bring us to another ice age. Once the circulation in the ocean stops there is no way to bring warm water to the north to keep it warm. The ice would then begin to freeze again and the glaciers would stretch down past new york again, like they once did. And no I did not get this from a movie, where do you think Long Island came from? Its made from all the sediment deposits from the glaciers that were once there. For anyone who thinks this is not a serious topic better think again. Bush dosent want to address it, hes only covering it up and making it sound like its not a big deal because he cant fix it and dosent understand how serious it is. We will come to the point when the earth cannot turn itself around. Eventually we will hit the point of no return when no matter how hard we try or what we do we will ultimately face the reality of global warming. We can still do things to fix it now but if we continue to wait it will be too late.

I feel there is a way out but at a heavy cost that many industrialized countries like the USA and fast-industrializing countries like China and India may not be ready for. It includes the adoption of non-polluting energy technology for using of fossil fuels and harnessing wind power and power of ocean waves to generate electricity.

Nuclear fusion plants for producing electrical energy are also being planned but it may take 10 to 50 years before they can make a significant difference in controlling degradation of the air we breathe and water we drink.

All these technologies are relatively new and expensive. The most successful sources of electrical energy have been hydroelectric dams but new technology is fast developing to generate electricity from fuel-efficient plants using low-grade coal which minimize pollution.

The big question is where does the money come from for poorer countries. By the time you you are ready to give answers to the question you asked, better technologies may be available.

Because it is based on lies. One of the main green house gases CO2, they say it has increased 30%,lie. CO2 has not increased even though we the world have burned huge amounts why? Well it seams that mother nature has recycled our air for several million years . CO2 is not a pollutant . The green plants have recycled our air by a process called photosynthesis. These TEOTWAWKI (The End Of The World As We Know It) prophecies for 2006 have all failed:
2006-JAN-25: James Kingsley predicted a major "Earthquake Storm" near Los Angeles, CA. It was to start shortly after midnight of 2006-JAN-25, last for 2 hours, and be centered in Redondo Beach. The individual quakes range in magnitude from 7.1 to 7.9, and will be called "The Big One". 4
2006-MAY-25: Eric Julien of the Exopolitics Institute predicted that a remnant from a comet would hit the Atlantic ocean and generate massive tsunami almost 200 meters (650 feet) in height. Most heavily affected will be the Atlantic coasts between the equator and the Tropic of Cancer. He predicted that there will be tens of millions of deaths. Bernard Lewis wrote in the Wall Street Journal on 2006-AUG-08:

SEP-08/09: The Lord's Witness and the True Bible Code predicted that a nuclear bomb will hit the UN plaza in Manhattan on the Sabbath, sometime between sundown on SEP-08 and sundown on SEP-09.
