I figure that they would be so preoccupied with killing each other that perhaps they would leave Israel and the US alone for a few decades. Maybe it would help to ignite one in Iran and that lunatic would be deposed.

No. You are not alone in the world. If you don't intervene to your benefit, someone else (Iran, Syria, Bin Laden, Russia, Venezuela...) might do in order to push their interests, which are not not necessarily good for you.
Your enemies will help the bad guys anyway. While you cannot prevent it, you can at least try to offset it by supporting the "good" (actually only less bad) guys.

Well if the Palestinians are killing each other they won't have time to be fighting Israel. If they kill off enough of each other then they won't need any extra land and Israel can keep what it has captured when attacked! As far as Iraq, pull back and let them have at it. Then move back in and mop up!

If Iran or Syria would stay out of Iraq and let them fight, yep, let them blow each other away, it is thier nation and they have that right.
But the trouble is that that civil war is being funded by Iran, using terrorist from Iran to help in the civil unrest.

Of course,we caused it and now we should just let them deal with it...Invading Iraq has lead to the civil war...Isolating the Palestinians ,in order to punish them for their choice,might lead to a civil war...So we messed up things ,we have done our work,now let them handle it...
Plsssss the whole world is guilty for what is going on there and we should think of a solution to stop it,not to make it go on for even more years...
