My mom has been a babysitter all my life, so I have tons of expierence with kids. I believe baby sign langugae does work. Like if they open or hold their hands they want to be held, and if you hold your arms out it means "come to me" I see babys reacting to such sign language at around 4-6 months

My cousin has been taking baby sign language...almost since he was born. He started using it at about 4-5 months.

It Depends How Deaf The Baby Is. It Does Work. You Should Ask Your Peditrion. Every Child Is Differant.

Well considering my daughter was signing her name (finger spelling) and making the sign for dog before she could say the words I would say it works.

I used it with both of my kids. It was wonderful. I started using it when they started paying attention to me. Once they discovered their hands I helped them to start using it. They are way less frustrated when they are able to communicate!
