Just start talking to women wherever it is you may meet them. Get to know someone, and if there is interest on both sides, go for coffee.
Since you have kids you are really dedicated to, it is important that any woman you introduce them to has first passed all YOUR tests to be worthy of meeting them.
Take it slow.

I'd start with a health club or the jogging circuit.
Make your kids join ALL the activities they can so YOU can meet all the single Moms.
Don't be shy...sell yourself and your assets as good husband material to all who will listen. Your perfect woman has a cousin or sister or aunt who would just love to find you and fix you two up. Network and get the word out. Join all the organizations in your community where women go....even if she's not there her next door neighbor might be!
She's not at the local dance club, I can tell you that!

I am 5'8" and 118lbs. I model, I bartend, and I'm am in med school. I don't do drugs. I don't cheat. I love my man with all my heart. We met at a bar more than four years ago. Don't let the stereotypes of bar dating let you avoid an environment that has alcohol (which helps break the ice for shy people) and people looking to meet others.

I know from experience that match.com really works. My mom is on it right now and she has met a lot of really nice guys. But the only thing is that i costs a little bit of money. But when you go on that sight you know that whoever you meet will be nice and trustworthy.
