with christmas coming up I was hoping someone could clarify something:
Okay, so god wanted a son why did he want a human son? Why wouldn't he just make an entity such as himself to hang out with him? And why would he choose to sleep with mary when she was already married and was a human? That messed up to joseph I think. Couldn't he just have a son appear like he made adam and eve. My english is not good but I hope that make understand. thanks. ciao.

If Mary was married, why was she still a virgin? Isn't that one of the cornerstones of marriage? She sounds like a jerk.

The answer to why did He want a human son is two fold.
I Because humans had sinned in the garden and human/s would have to have at least a part in making it up.
II To show with the example that Jesus would give that it was possible for a human to live up to that. After all it was a human who was giving the example.
The answer to why God "slept with Mary" ect. is also two fold.
I Because God has created everything, including all DNA and it's processes. God did not sleep with Mary but created the baby within her. Mary was a vessel. It was not an amorous thing but a thing of physical necessity if Jesus was to qualify to be fully human.
II To give the baby Jesus the very best upbringing he could have. Tailor made, created by God as the very best suited to human nature. A stable and loving family. And Joseph? Being a believer in God he accepted what God had done. He had faith, faith which we know by observation and knowledge to have turned out the really best way to bring up a baby. Also of what we know now of the reproductive process, we know that much more is possible than what we previously knew. Also the bible speaks of Jesus's brothers. It is obvious that Joseph and Mary had a normal family and children together. For the only requirement that was required by Mary was virginity AT THE TIME OF CHRIST'S COMMING.

God needed Jesus to be born so that he could be a pure and holy sacrifice and he needed to be a human so that he could overcome temptation and live a pure and righteous life to be offered up as a pure sacrifice.

God did not sleep with Mary, seriosly he's God he created a child in her womb

Mary and Joseph were not yet married when she became pregnant, they were betrothed (engaged) which is why she was still a virgin. To keep Joseph from becoming "messed up" God sent an angel to comfort him and bring him peace.

But over all you need to remember that "his ways are higher than out ways and his thoughts are higher than our thoughts" Clarity is good but don't attempt to figure out God... He's God and that's all that matters

First God did not sleep with Mary. Second, Jesus was of two natures, human and God. Jesus had to come as Man so He could be the second Adam and take on our sins.

He had to be human so that he could "save" mankind....he didn't sleep with Mary in the way we think of sleep, it was a miracle thing, no I can't explain that, Mary was not married to Joseph yet, Joseph did accept it because God told him why,... no Adam and Eve had a special beginning... hope that helps :o)

First of all, God didn't sleep with Mary. She was supernaturally made pregnant so she could carry Jesus. God is the Creator and can do anything, He can make Mary pregnant without sleeping with her. He made His son in human form so that he could be born and then later in life die for us. God made us in His image. Before the fall of man, which is when Adam & Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, they were able to walk and talk with God and "hang out with Him". After the fall, we needed to be forgiven of our sins so we could have that closeness with God again. God sent His son to die for His people so that they could be with Him again. (John 3:16) Jesus knew that He was sent to die for us, He knew what was going to happen to Him and He still did it. He still gave His life for us when He could have said no. That's pretty incredible.

God became a man so that he could share our nature, and yet without sin.

When Adam sinned, death entered in.

Adam's sin is why we now die. And it is also why we now wear clothes rather than remaining nude, according to Genesis 3:21.

The fact that we now wear clothes and do die is the proof that we are no longer under any perceived "original plan".

So what has God planned for us instead? He gave us "the second Adam", which is Christ, that we might have life everlasting in Him (per John 3:16.).

"And so it is written, the first man Adam was made a living soul;
the last Adam [which is Christ] was made a quickening spirit."
1 Corinthians 15:45.

The first Adam brought death by his sin. The second Adam, which is Christ, brought life by His righteousness.

Got it?

God was the son. Both human and God. He didn't sleep with the Virgin Mary before she was impregnated. He was told she would be pregnant with a savior.

Jesus wasn't just a son, He was God incarnate (as man), with the intention to give his live as a sacrifice for the sins of man...it's all in the book.

Bible is not true as it has been changed several times to make it flexible....and technically if Jesus is really son of god then that means all us are God's sons and daughters....

The virgin birth wasn't in the original scriptures composed in hebrew. They begin similar to Mark gospel, which being the oldest gospel in the bible, never had one. The Hebrew gospel of Matthew had no virgin birth narrative. Paul doesn't even ever mention the birth, not in all of his books. The virgin birth is from pagan mystery religions, horus, mithra and many others have the same birth sequence.
