It's been proven that there is life down there. I believe a few kinds of fish live there in certain areas, but for the most part it's bacteria and invertebrates (probably lots of things that look like sponges or sowbugs). Most of it would be clustered around the hydrothermal vents, where they can more easily get food.

Mollusks and crustaceans and several kinds of worms are found in every marine environment.
Expect to find some clams, snails, shrimp, small crabs, worms.

You might also find specialized fish, and octopuses which feed off the above mentioned.

It would be very dark and cold living conditions.
