I want to burn a DVD. I tried softwares and wmp but if I play it my DVD says error?

If you are trying to burn a movie then It could be the region code. DVD players and DVDs are set up with region codes and they have to match. I live in the eastern US and the region code here is 1. It might be 1 for the whole US, however I'm not sure. But My DVD player will only play region 1 DVDs. On the back of the DVD cover it will tell you what the region code is. It will be a square with a single number inside. If you downloaded the movie, then you probably won't be able to tell what region it is. Also you should be able to look at the owners manual of the DVD player to find out what region code it is.
