Next week for the department lunch I want to make red and green deviled eggs for a seasonal touch. Can I just add food coloring to the filling? Or is there a green spice garnish that I can use to correlate with the paprika?

I've colored the filling in the past and it was not very appetizing looking! I would use a green and red garnish like parsley or green olives and pimiento on each one instead.

Here are a couplee of ways. I wouldn't do pickled eggs to make deviled. You could top them weith green olive stuffed with pimentos. Or take your filling abd beat it very smooth with a mixer. Get a pastry bag with a star tip in it. Or you could just do a plastic baggie. Take the gel food colors you get from craft stores or walmart (wilton etc...) Take a clean painprush and draw a line on the inside of the bag. You can do one color at a time or do two color. Put your egg filoing in the bag and pipe the filling into the eggs. It will be lined/streaked with color.

You could color the filling, but it would be hard since the egg is already yellow; you'd probably end up with funny shading. Maybe use paprika, and basil?

You might try shaking some salt with green food coloring to sprinkle over the eggs.

Coloring the yoke mixture green is not very appetizing for your guests. How about using a Christmas plate instead? or decorating with mini ornaments or something?

you could use food coloring but someone could be sensitve. red peppers, paparika, paminto(olive stuffing stuff); for red. and chives, DICED olives, any fresh herbs really; for green. not only will it add a cherrful confetti appearance but it would add a tiny bit of good health.
