if you are using a razor make sure it's sharp. DON"T use a dull razor....before you shave try exfolliating first it helps. Then use a shaving cream that's contains aloe and is meant for sensitive skin. After I shower I put on aloe vera or some thing that contains Sailyic acid ( THIS STINGS!!!! but it'll keep the ingrowns away) try exfolliating in between shaving too.
To get rid of most of the hair stand in different angles ( put a leg up or something) you'll get most of the hair
The best way to get rid of ALL the hair is get waxed.

well try moisturizing it first if it is doing that, then either your not shaving properly, not using shaving cream, or not using water.... that will definatly cause razor burn, or... the hair down there could be really thick i would try moisturinzing it first and letting it sit for 5- 10 mins then try shaving... if it does occur (this may sound gross, but...) use diaper rash cream to heal the red bumps and pain, it will help and it will go away eventually it works for me ne way....if it hurts while you are shaving i would suggest going to get it professionally done so it can be done all at once, and then the pain is gone... as for the guys question it probably depends on the guy!!

You need a good razor or shaver, if using a razor use one with more than one blade for a closer shave, you also need a good shaving cream, preferably one for sensitive skin. A good after shave gel to moisturize and soften the skin, try Skintimate after shave gel. It takes a while to master this skill, and it doesn't always turn out great. But hey, it's better than waxing.....

I find that Olay Body Butter Ribbons works as the best shave cream & make sure the razor is new when you're shaving down there.
