Well now you've placed this little enquiry, you can be sure of one thing... the net police will find it.... and someone will want to know a lot more about you... since you could be the killer digging for any information they might have about you... I'm suspicious of your motives already... and I'm only a creative writer... not a real cop!
additional info on the news today (Sat 16th) says one of the murdered prostitutes, was pregnant... with this in mind... it's not impossible that someone with a grudge on one of them, or even her, like a future unwilling dad maybe, scared of being found out, because of title, position, wealth, did them all to cover up one murder! That's where I'd be looking right now anyway! We are assuming the obvious, that it is another nutty 'ripper', what if they're higher profile and this is all a set up, and only one was meant to die?

You know as much as the police want you to know. It is more interesting what they haven't revealed. As to your point that this sort of thing doesn't happen anymore, of course it does. It's happening now. It's rare, but it happens every ten years or so. Gender, probably male, age, between 20 and 55. Marital status, probably married or recently split up from a long standing relationship.
Reasons: Rejection by a partner or retribution for catching an infection from a prostitute.
Profile: Someone who was on the edge anyway plus the above.
Likelyhood of it being an existing sex offender: Not very likely.
Recognised by someone close: Probably not as yet. If more murders are commited then eventually yes.
Will they be caught: Almost certainly. It is going to be a local person to the Ipswich/Suffolk area. How, a slice of luck plus old fashioned detective work. Expect DNA profiling of every male in the target group. Forget the sex aspect. It's more open than that.
The case may go quiet now for several months, but whoever it is will be back.

whilst its a terrible situation you must realise in all cases like this the police do hold back a lot of information.
Whoever he is i bet you will find hes an ordinary bloke, the kind we see on the bus, train or tube everyday.I think someone out there knows who it is but doesn't want to shop their son, husband, partner or brother.
I remember the Yorkshire ripper and he killed as many women over 6 years. This man has killed the same number over 6 weeks!!! The fact that police are now looking at possible other unsolved murders in the Suffolk/Norfolk area leads me to believe this man has killed before.
if he isn't caught soon then i suspect he will go quiet for a while then either move to a different part of the area and just kill again. I just hope he is caught sooner rather than later!!!

I stay in simple terms 10 minutes faraway from the place the final 2 ladies have been got here upon. i'm a 29 12 months previous mum of three and that i'm scared, this guy may be killing 'prostitutes' on the 2d yet what is going to ensue while there are no further on the streets? he will choose for any lady out on her very own. If and while they catch this guy then i think of he could get a death sentence. additionally such as you assert those poor ladies have been got here upon 10 days aside, 5 killings in 10 day is frightening stuff.

Since the story broke a number of criminal psychologists, forensic psychologists and other behavioural scientists have commented on the case.
Dr Ian Stephen a psychologist working with police on the current investigation stated that The killer is losing control and there is a compulsion taking over, he also claims that the recent deaths may be part of a larger killing spree, adding; "What may be an issue is that when he starts running out of prostitutes not becoming available, he will see any woman who's out on the street at night on their own as a prostitute and will target them as a possible victim."
Writing for the BBC Dr Stephen said the suspect was probably male, white, in his late 20s, 30s or 40s, and is someone who probably had been let down by women in his past.
"He maybe had a mother who has let him down, or a mother who has abandoned him," he added. "In some sense he may have idolised women and then they let him down." He also notes that the killer may be on "some kind of Christian mission" believing he is "clearing the world of prostitutes".
Speaking on BBC radio, Film-maker and criminologist Roger Graef said that he also believes the killer may have had negative experiences with women in the past.
"You can calculate if it's prostitutes that it's somebody who was damaged by a woman, who is ashamed of his own impulses possibly, who is, you know, a religious zealot, who feels that they're corrupting the whole of mankind."
During an interview for the BBC newsnight, Professor David Canter, from the Centre for Investigative Psychology, said that while "almost certainly" the killings were the work of one individual, there were too few details yet to form a detailed profile of the suspect.
"It is difficult to assume anything at the moment without a lot more detailed information," he told BBC Newsnight...because serial murders are rare, it is difficult to generalise about the killers involved..The two or three individuals that come to mind have all been rather disturbed but they have very different characteristics...Some of them found their way into these sorts of murders really from a life of crime where they just become ever more extreme in their criminal acts and in their violence...Some serial killers also have a "bizarre understanding of the nature of women" and may attack women because they believe they are "seductresses who destroy their virtue",
Professor Canter inicated that it was more likely that the case would be solved by using police records to try to discover where the suspect may be based rather than building an "intense personal description of the offender".

I think most answers are based on typology, in reality it may not be a male , it may be a female out for revenge after her boyfreinds clandestine adventure with a prostitute, did she get infected as a result?. Has he left her after being sexually enlightened?. God only knows , but I do pity those relatives who have been left to pick up the pieces. In reality the real blame lies in the victims inability or reluctance to stop there drift into the sordid way of life that they were leading. It is such a shame and such an indictement on the present situation concerning crime in general. I once for several years occasionaly worked in a house of 'ill repute' masquerading as a sauna and massage parlour as 99% of them do. I used to do handyman type running repairs, NO I never had a freebie, yes they were offered. I am not a saint but I do love my wife. I have heard all the reasons for the job they do and I would say that a genuine 30% do it to get by and give their kiddies a little extra. The rest are addicts, have pimps or just greedy with no self respect or morals at all. Sadly 99% of them had been abandond by their partners? some mate huh!

What we dont know is what is the most terrifying notion of all, i
cannot begin to comprehend what drives another human being to kill another, it is absolutely insane, id guess the evil individual who is on the prowl and on the run too by the looks of things, hasnt been raised in a fit state or environment,.
I am assuming the killer is a he.
my god!!! i am coming to think this nutter clearly lacked a relationship as a child with his mother,(something has obviously triggered this evil individuals warped mentality) that he felt the need to torture and kill young women as a means to putting his warped views of women to right?
Whats clear is this individual is a callous useless being and doesnt deserve life, why? because good people perish everyday and their families suffer as a result, and what do these nutters do? they simmer in life, and have no purpose, it really disgusts me, how the killer took away the lives of these women without any morals or some kind of regard of the pain they have caused the families.
One question though:
Why???

The police have according to the press, refined the search down to the final FIVE suspects - this is good news because they would have started with al least 50 possible suspects. You are dealing with 'a psychotic killer' - in short he enjoys killing and while he can kill again and again, he remains on a high. in all probability he is watching the news in an manner which might give rise to questions being asked by some person close to him, and he may be reading this on the Internet. While the killing spree continues he will be on a 'high' because he is enjoying what he is doing. However, he may kill himself before the police can arrest him, the method he is likely to us is by drowning, or hanging.

You mean the Ipswich murders right? The murderer is more than likely a man, as the victims were prostitutes and they probably got in the car with him as they usually would. There have been reports of a BMW, blue I think, which could either be the killer's or another punter who saw the girls just before one or more of them were murdered. That's all I know that I can think of right now.

Strangulation is almost exclusively a male practise. So lets go for a man.
As to the rest; while it makes us feel more secure to talk it through and speculate, it really doesn't serve any purpose.
Who ever he or she is,is not going to be walking round with a big sign saying " Heh its me!" on their forehead, so you can't really rest any easier.
Don't let it all become the focus of you life for the next few weeks, which is what the media is working on us all doing with their fatuous and titillating coverage.
