Im taking part in a charity drive for a second year. Last year the whole event all managed to raise over £20000 for a childrens charity, which was really good but this year we all want to raise a whole lot more.
Does anyone have any experience in raising money for charity & have any worthwhile tips on generating money?
There is media coverage, is it worth offering advertising space on my vehicle to companies for donations to the charity? & who & where would i go to ask?
Please any suggestions would be grateful.
Kindest regards
Michael

Good luck !
I would suggest that you contact local firms and tell them what you are trying to achieve and how good it would be for them to be associated with your venture in the public eye. Are there any local or even nationally famous people that live in your area that you could invite to become involved. If there are then it is always much easier to get good press. Radio is often over looked as a publicity medium and are generally more willing to get involed too. Ask them to sponser you you never know

write to local businesses, shops etc asking for sponsorships. You local rag will probably do an article for free especially if you are raising lots for a local charity.
Can I suggest you raising the money for one or more local charities or voluntary organisations as they often struggle to get funding as most places donate to larger more well known charities.
GOOD LUCK Wish there were more like you *******

Its great seeing people do things for children!

You should go and talk to the companies who you think will be interested! It also depends where you live!
