You can start by changing what you eat. Think of it this way: One pound of fat is equal to 3500 calories. When you are eating food you are putting calories in your body. In order to loose weight you must expend more calories than you are consuming. You burn calories everyday by doing normal things like breathing or even thinking. I am not sure what your health problems are, but walking is pretty safe for most people and it is a good way to start burning some more calories.

Whatever you do please do not take those weight reducing pills. A case has been reported in medical journals of a fat girl who lost weght rapidly with the help of such pills. However, her skin failed to keep up with the speed. The result was horrible. When she stood up the loose belly skin would spread out and hand like something evil .She had to undergo very complicated operations to rid herself of this phenomenon. She was an attractive girl not averse to occasions swings. But the moment she undressed and the belly came out, came out and came out. The partner would just run away.
Reduction has to be gradual if you want to avoid that fate and be in shape. You cannot do without exercise which can be modest to start with. One more thing the belly is the last to lose fat but don not be disheartened.
As regards dieting I will tell you my own experience. I was not that fat but with advancing years the little fat I had mattered. I went on a crash diet. No cooking. No milk. No salt. Only raw vegetables and fruits,(Not merely juices). Within six months I lost 23 kgs. and started looking hagard but I was full of elan. I could easily negotiate a moidest hill on cycle without getting down even once.My belly receded so much that when I slept there was actually a big void there and the stomach almost touched my back. I could not sleep on my back but had necessarily to sleep sideways. But my intake, weight for weght, was more than my average intake when I was not on diet. The doctors only said that I should supplement with some proetins(my diet was only carbohydrates). Half a bowl of groundnet is enough protein.
You can try this but take care.

Take a good look at your diet. You should be eating a varied balanced diet, which includes 5 portions of fruit and veg everyday. Eat foods which are high in saturated fat moderatly, and foods such as crisps and savory snacks sparingly.
Also look at the way you cook food, aviod deep fat frying, and replace with grilling. If you have to fry use a good quality olive oil.
The best method of loosing weight is a combination of diet and excerise. Is there no physical activity you can do. Look at yoru daily routine, replace driving or public transprot with walking etc . This does have good results when combined with diet. You should try and do something like this at leats 3 times a week.
Once you are in the habit of eating healthy and incorparating some activity you will see the benefits.
Hope this helps

The easiest way to lose weight is by counting calories. Cut down to 1200 calories a day. This is easy because you can eat anything you crave but in smaller portions. I know it is hard to keep a diet because sometimes you go out to eat with friends so it is really hard to stick to a menu, but if you know that you can eat whatever you like (as long as you keep it under those number of calories) then that makes it easy. Also find how many calories your metabolism burns a day and try to do small stuff in order to lose some of the other calories you consume. don't get discouraged if you go past the 1200 calories because once you start monitoring the calories that you consume you are likely to not eat as much as you did before. Also buy yourself one of those calorie counting books so that you can check how many calories things you eat have. Hope this helps.

Simple. If you can't go outside, when and if your watching T.V. or doing something like that just walk around even if only for 5 minutes. Its better than nothing. Also, you've got to limit your caloire intake! (Limit to as low as you can go to start) Eat more healthy things such as fruits, vegtables, etc. Don't eat all that sweets and vegtables. Lastly, when you go to get something to eat think a minute about your calorie intake (Even keep a chart) and take all those sweets and dump'em out! Follow these steps along with the 5-10 minutes of walking in your house, and you will lose weight!

Lose 10 pounds
Lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks??
There are some websites on the Internet, which promise you that you are going to lose 10 pounds in every 2 weeks. If you are good in math you will find that keeping these stats in mind, 260 pounds in a year. Losing 260 pounds is the figure, which is unbelievable and unexpected.
This kind of claims are planned just to cause clients to make impulsive decisions. When you gain weight, did you gained around 50 minds in two months? Certainly not. We gain weight in weight in small parts, which add up to our weight. This keeps on increasing with time.
I think you get what I mean to say. We normally gain weight in grams like 65 gram per week. With this stat you are going to gain around 7 pounds at the end of year.
This weight is so slow that you cannot measure it weekly. But in fur years you are going to gain around 28 pounds.
So how can you expect this weight to go in few days? You are going to lose the way you have gained it. So it will take time to lose weight. So you have to start losing weight systematically. You can lose weight by developing the good eating habits in you and nutritious foods.

One way to lose a few pounds is to cut SODIUM! Foods with lots of salt make you retain water. Even foods that you wouldn't think have sodium, have it!
Also getting a bicycle- you can get the ones that are in your home. Get one with a wide seat because a thin seat kind of hurts. Bicycling is good because it doesn't have as much impact on you knees and legs because you are sitting and your weight isn't directly on your legs. Start of slow because of your breathing problems and eventually with the loss of your weight you'll be able to move up to a higher intensity.
wrapping yourself in saran-wrap or any other thermal method only helps a little by helping you shed water-weight but be careful because you can dehydrate and/or get ring-worm.
Good luck!

Gradually substitute any unhealthy food you eat for healthy alternatives:
Candy and Junk for Fruit and Veg.'s
Do it slowly, start off subbing 1x/wk, and slowly work up to it.
Substitute sodas for juices high in calcium and low in sugar (natural).
Walk around the house, staring at the floor, and concentrating only on the number of steps, until you are able to slpwly increase pace, and reduce steps.
Your goal now isn't to lose weight, but to get yourself in the topical physical shape required to actively lose weight. It will be a process, but if you pace yourself, think positive (stop calling yourself fat, stop beating yourself up when you gain a pound, and stop looking to lose thw weight quickly).
In the amount of time, it tokk you a long time to gain the weight, so it won't take you just as long to lose it, will just take time.
Remember, any muscle tissue movement or exertion can burn tons of calories, so start smiling and laughing, and sitting up , and carrying the groceries and walking.
Good Luck.

There are only 2 ways to lose weight.
Take in fewer calories, or
Burn more calories.
Since you cannot burn more, you will have to take in less.
Start by eliminating sweets, desserts and snacks from your diet.
All liquids should be non-caloric, preferably water.
Resolve to eat 3 meals per day and no "seconds"
Always leave something behind on your plate.
Never "clean your plate"
The food is better off down the disposal than on your body.
Good luck.
