I can't really say an exact age, cause it is different with everyone, but I know I became my mother when I started to have children of my own.

This can be a different age for many. Since some people mature quicker than others, and for some it could take decades. I'd say when you get children of your own, and realize everything your parents told you were for your own good. Then it also depends on your values, and belief system, and your character. I considered myself to have matured at a young age (21), (I started the process of maturing)..I always tried to do the right thing, but I lacked wisdom in some areas. At the age of 33 I really thought about your question, on the inside I was able to undestand why parents made the choices they made, and were stern, and protective. This was an time of spirtual maturing inside of me. I'm still growing everyday. But it's called Love : Thank God I'm growing mentally, and spirtually.

I think when you start having children, you begin to mimick their ways But you actually physically and mentally become your parent around 50. One day you look in the mirror and say Oh my gosh when did that happen???

Some people never do. I work hard every day to not be anything like my parents.

The more you mature, the more you'll resemble them. But when you actually have kids of your own the process accelerates!

By then, of course, you'll see it as a GOOD thing. :D

I think about 40. I've been catching myself sounding like my mom. EEEEEEKKKK!!! Don't get me wrong, I love my mom, and she died 12 years ago and I miss her like crazy, but I sure didn't want to sound like her, lol. Oh well, there's worse things to sound like I guess.

I used to say " im never going to be like my mum !" .....then i had my son....and i try not to be like her..but there are things that i do, that are exactly what she would do. i try to stop cause its really annoying..i've stopped a little bit...but sometimes i act like her..without even noticing..so i think it happens once you have kids. lol

When you have kids of your own and you say something that was said to you as child and you repeat it to your child and you say to yourself. "Oh my God I have become my mother!" And you slap yourself on your forehead.
