will linux programmers find a way to take away window gamers completly and be able to play any games on any linux distrubutions.

Well actually, there is WINE & Cedega which can allow Windows games to run on Linux.
If people don't like Vista, they won't upgrade to it. I'm fine staying on XP for a long time.

Considering that Wine and Cedega are constantly improving their ability to run Windows programs there is hope. But Windows is a moving target and Linux programmers must constantly figure out how programs use Windows and translate that into Linux terms.

The better solution is to give game developers a reason to develop native versions of their titles.
