I need to be writing essays and all these other types of things, and i need a microsoft word program, so i can write this stuff on Documents. But i dont have it on my computer, is there a simple, and free way i can download this??

try using one of these free programs

Google Docs - an online word processor and spreadsheet that can read and save word documents

Wordpad (comes with Windows) - a simple word processor that has beasic formating capabilities

Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories

Open office.

This is a free full featured office suite equivalent to the full microsoft office suite of programs available for both windows and linux

Microsoft Word itself is a product from Microsoft and needs to be purchased.

You do not need Microsoft word, you can download Open Office, which does everything that Microsoft Office does but it is free. That includes slideshows, spreadsheets, among other functions.

Mama Microsoft did not become the giant that it is by giving things free! Yet, I know that there is a free office suite on the web but its name escapes my memory. So, go to Yahoo search and type "Office suite" or free office suite"

Alternatively you could use the word processor in Microsoft Works if you have it which you likely do.

You can download for free and legally a program called Open Office write, which is similar to Word.
