I believe the giants mentioned in Genesis are real giants, 9-12 feet tall. The atmosphere before the Flood was different than today, allowing humans, animals and dinosaurs to reach mega-heights. This is why, in addition to giant dinosaurs, the fossil record also contains giant beavers (8 feet long), 2 foot long grasshoppers, foot-long cockroaches, etc. They have found an apparent society of giants 9-12 feet tall still wearing headdresses and such.

There are 2 thoughts on this point:

#1 - the "bene eloihem" or the "sons of God" mentioned 37 times as "sons of god" referred to angels 34 of those times. The other 3 times it referred to men (mankind). So, there's a 90% chance that the sons of god (angels) came down, mated with women, had children that were Giants and "men of renown" and destroyed the earth to such an extent that the world had to be destroyed in a Flood, OR

#2 - the "sons of god" at the 10% level were the children of Seth marrying into the children of Cain, polluting "holy" race that Christ would later come through. Personally, I buy the angelic theory because of the Book of Enoch, the Books of Adam and Eve, etc. all support it. Also, intermarry between men and women would not have required the destruction of the earth, while a race of beings capable of things greater than man, would have.

Giants are the result of fallen angels seducing the daughters of Adam and Eve.

Jud 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

In other words, they were not born innocent through the womb like everybody else.

That may be debatable. "Nephilim" in v 4 can mean giant, and if so, it means a very large human. There are skeletons today of humans in excess of 13 feet.
However, the word is translated "fallen ones". Some take this to mean that these people have 'fallen' into sin. Others say that these people "fall down when they pray".
Its just a tough one to translate.

Ah you are referring to the verse about the angels impregnating women and therefore giants were born. So the answer you want is half human half angel.
