Now I know El Toritos isn't exactly the best place to get mexican food but the hot chocolate is excellent. The brand I used is Abuelita. I should have known better, I tried to *froth* it in my blender, only to scorch my arm.

A blender won't froth it...Try using an old fashioned hand held eggbeater... And use "pinole" to sweeten it... If you don't have that use some dark brown sugar and a drop of vanuilla extract, that should give your chocolate a similar flavour. (And don't forget the cinnamon).

If you don't have an espresso machine, the best way to do it will be in la micro. Heat the water or milk, add the chocolate and cinnamon, heat a bit more, stir. The chocolate will froth the milk in the microwave, not as well as an espresso machine, but it might curb the craving. Good luck, and now you have me craving it :)

Im too uneduated to make my own hot chocolate with ingredients, so I just buy the ones in packets, mostly from Swiss Miss. I put a handful of marshmallows on top, and add whipped cream. Then I put chocolate shavings on it. Also I sometimes crush peppermint, either from a candycane or a mint, and add it in. I had a peppermint hot chocolate from StarBucks once, it was amazing! I make it like that during Christmas. Have a great weekend yourself!
