Put some toothpaste on them for a few minutes, then rinse off with water. Drink plenty of water every day.

Here's what i have did to reduce acne.

First, i stopped using soap on my face. I just use a little water to wash it. Irritating your face can also cause dryness and acne.

Secondly, i changed the way i slept. This provided me with most of the advantage. I noticed that a lot of times, the acne was because of blocked hair follicle with oil. I changed my sleeping patterns such that i laid face up more often than face down. So, when i got the impulse to sleep down, i usally use my hand or arm to rest the face.

Third, whenever i get a bump. I used a nailclipper(a tweaker, might also help), to pull out the the narrow puss after it solidifies after 2-3 days. This a lot of time stops the formation of scars, from my observations.

There are also diet changes, you can make, if it really bothers you. Eating less oily foods has been known to reduce acne. Drinking plenty of water, and keeping yourself from dust will also help you reduce acne.

And finally, I got old. So kid, by the time, you are 22, you wont get as much.

Here are some REALLY good, and very inexpensive ways to treat most acne at home. Try each method (unless you’re allergic to the ingredients) until you find one that works best for you. Good luck =) BTW, I know some of these may sound bizarre but try them…what have you got to lose other than the acne!!1. Put toothpaste on your acne before going to bed. (Make sure it is paste not gel). It should reduce the swelling of acne noticeably.2. Dab egg whites on your acne and leave on for 20 minutes or overnight. It’s supposed to pull the infection out of the blemish.3. Wash acne infected areas twice a day with warm salt water. This reduces oils in the skin and helps to dry the acne up without further agitation.4. Use ice on acne before going to bed. This works best on pimples that have not yet formed a head. It reduces swelling and helps to prevent scarring.5. Wash and dab acne with cotton balls that have been soaked in vinegar. Let dry; do not wash off immediately.6. Place strawberries leaves over your acne and the alkalinity will help to reduce the swelling.7. Try taking salmon oil supplements (found in health food stores and vitamin shops).

my great grandma swore up and down that drinking a tablespoon of vinegar in a glass of water 2 times a day worked on her--and that was in the 1920s---so it must have worked because they did not have neutrogena acne wash back then!

If it's real bad, you can get shots for it.

My personel experience was finding out that that liquid brown anti-bacteria soap worked for me while Clearisel made it worse.

There are many cheap and effective home remedies for acne. Tomato slices, turmeric, papaya juices and home made face packs will treat existing pimples and prevent further problems. More remedies at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html
