A couple of times a year I use a semi-permanent medium ash brown color on my hair. It always looks great, but this time it's got a slight greenish cast. I have to use ash based color because my hair has a tendency to turn red with dyes. Any way I can balance it out without redying? Maybe henna?

Use natural body art quality henna powder from www.hennasooq.com as there are also a lot of natural hair care powders there. You can also add some indigo to tone down the red or amla powder for volume and wave. This way because your hair is dyed when using body art quality pure henna powders you won't have any chemical side effects as there is no chemicals or additives in good quality pure powder.

I hope this helps

the ash is what is turning your hair green. if you are using a double ash(AA) then maye try just ash, or you could mix 3/4 neutral brown with 1/4 ash brown and henna may permanently stain your hair, and affect any color you want done in the future

Just re-dye it again so the green will go away.
