I've had a cold for almost two weeks. It first started with a nasty dry cough. It developed into a cough with lots of phlem, nasal congestion. My ears are plugged up and I can't smell a thing?

The congestion blocks your nasal passages and filters out the aromas around you. Notice that you also can't hardly taste anything either. Our sense of smell is our taste.

If you are around people that smoke, Fumes from trucks & cars,
Chemicals.. .. Any of these will make your sense of smell fail.
