Which(Who) has in memory no this word of Jesus to his(her) apostle Pierre: « and I, I say to you that you are Pierre, and that on this stone I shall build my Church » (Matth. 16,18). But was it really the sentence which Jesus said to Pierre? The answer is clearly: no!

First of all it is necessary to know that the Messiah expressed himself araméen while gospel were drafted in Greek, what implies that from the beginning his(her, its) Word was translated. On the other hand, it is impossible whether it is the term "church" that the Christ used: a fast consultation in the étymologique dictionary teaches us that the word "church" seemed only informed of the 3rd century AD! Historically, it is the period which coincides with the conversion in the Christianity of the Roman emperor Constantin, and consequently in the official gratitude(recognition) of this religion (at about the year 325).
In fact, during one of the numerous translations, it is the word "church" which had to be at some point, held(retained) to interpret the Greek word " ekklesia ", which(who) means nevertheless "assembly" in the sense(direction) « assembled by believers(regular customers) ». Each of these two words has however a very different connotation, a term "church" bringing a very useful more institutional sense(direction) to sit(base) the bases of the rising Church.

Yes, most definetly. I need to read more!! I'm really bad at memorizing verses. I KNOW they're in there because of being taught, but I can't repeat them word for word or tell you where they are. I try to teach my kids to do better. I teach Sunday School for kindergartners and teach them better as well!

Yes.

But the real question is have you studied the Bible.

God's Word can't be read like a novel, or you will never understand it.

God's Word is pregnant and grows.

It is seed planted in your mind (soil). The seed can be dormant before it germinates.

I'm doing that right now. Already read the New Testament and and am now cruising through the old. I read it because it talks about heaven and hell, has scientific facts, no contradictions, predicts the future and it's 100% accurate.
