What an interesting question! I have always hated the thought of cremation!...my sister was cremated when I was young. It is not because of the dead person that I hate it for...it is for the ones who are left. It is just an awful thought to me...that someone I love would be burned up real quick.
For myself..I do not want it to be a financial burden on anyone...so if my immediate family is ok with it then I don't care. I do want them to have a memorial service though...just so the family can be all together. I am a really morbid person I guess but if I knew I was dying I would write out what I would want said to each person. Sometimes people listen more after you are dead you know? hmmmm.....I need to think about that some more. Thanks for the question! :)

Cremated, after they pulled whatever bits and pieces they could reuse. I'd like my ashes scattered back into the earth, maybe with a tree or something planted over them, so the minerals that make up my body could be re-used by another living thing. I need to do some research into that and see if the chemical composition would be beneficial as a fertilizer.

From the earth to the earth, the Cycle continues unbroken.

Cremated because i do not want my bodies to be stolen by using persons living illegally in cemeteries or thrown inclusive of stocks of a few corpes' body stuffs in there if I ever get buried. And this is worst at the same time as it receives flooded after a violent hurricane like Ondoy in which some corpses choose the flow and spreads everywhere. :|

I'd just as soon be cremated. Cemeteries take up too much real estate and after a few generations die off, no one comes to the gravesite anymore.

I wanted to be cremated, then I want my family and friends to go party and get totally wasted, I mean completely, to the point where the hangover the next day is so bad they can hardly move.

I was created of the earth and to the earth I shall return. They say the fire on the earth is only 1 part of 70 parts of the fire of hell. Lord knows what the soul suffers when being cremated. I would prefer to become one with the earth!

You still have a funeral if you're cremated. And I will let my family decide for me, it's for their peace of mind, not mine (I don't care 'cause I'll be dead).
