I found her coming out of the woods over to my house. When i examened her she had a freshly made scar on her chest, of course it healed over time, but i was just wondering does the scar have anything to do with the tummy thing? She looked like she got opperated on.

I have 17 cats. One had surgery as a kitten for a hernia and never lets me rub her tummy. After 11 years, she finally trusts me and likes me to rub her on the stomach. Has everything to do with surgery.
Out of my feral cats, only one likes to be rubbed, she loves it and can't get enough. That's because she was the only kitten and the mother cat spent an extraordinary amount of time grooming her baby. Most feral cats don't like to have their tummy rubbed.
The domestic ones -- born to a feral cat in my bathroom -- love to have their stomachs rubbed.

Mine does too, but there are a couple times a day where she will give you the opportunity to. I have found that generally cats hate to have their tummy pet.

i have heard that it truly is because they sense extra weak being petted on the tummy. My cat in problem-free words shall we human beings she sees very usually do so. it truly is problem-free for cats to allow you puppy them till they change into drained of it and then they'll go away or chew.

Actually I have heard (and truly believe) that cats will only allow people that they trust COMPLETELY to touch their tummies as it is their most vulnerable area. Don't feel bad though your cat just may be one of those cats doesn't allow anybody to pet their belly.

Some cats like it, some others dont. My cat hates it as well, but my brother's cat (who is at the same house) absolutely loves it. Just the way they are.

I don't think so, I also have a female cat. The only time she wouldn't let me pet her belly was when she was pregnant. She wouldn't let me touch her tail either. You might want to take her to a vet , you know, just for a check up.

Then don't do it?? That's the best bet. You're a great person for taking her in. Just give her lots of love and flower her with awesome toys from www.fatcatinc.com, like a boxer shorts mouse or a cocktail weaner dog. They are great toys and a very thoughtful company!
