I'd like to get one more tattoo of a wolf to honor my paternal side of the family. However, I think wolves are too masculine and tough for me. Anyone have any design ideas to "girl" it up a little? I would really like to stick with a wolf, but need to make it pretty...

You could look for a pictures online, but there is a risk that someone else has that same tattoo-you just never know. You could find an art site where people sometimes offer their skills for this kind of thing. You could also just talk to some tattoo artists and see if any of them can draw you up an image that you like.
I think first you should decide the pose that you want the wolf to be in-even if you find this picture online or in a book or something, then take it to a tattoo studio and give them that as a reference point. The more you give someone to work with, the better the chance you find the perfect design.
Also, don't just take the first one. A tattoo lasts forever, so you need to think about and make sure if is what you want.

Hi Liesl, Why not have the wolf laying on her tummy,and watching out into the wild.You could add alittle wolf cub to your tat.This would look great. I have 4 tats myself.

Maybe a wolf with stars and a moon, or you could put the wolf walking through flowers under the stars and the moon. Possibly give it green eyes, i always think of girls when i think of green eyes, not sure why though.

Maybe a pair of wolves? One wolf looking off in the distance while another has it's head down.... Or a mother with her cub? Or just a cub....

its best to get the idea from a tattoo artist that way you would get a betta idea of what u want n even better than what might be offered to you or just go to photobucket n type in image u want to see whats good for u

look at a few of these and see what ya think...
The first is kinda tribal
The second would be a good idea, you could get a full moon with the silhouette of the wolf
You could also change the colors of these to your liking

There are many wolf patterns that are feminine. Like obviously you don't want a wolf that is growling so go for one that is howling at the moon. Or maybe a baby wolf.

arrange a meeting with a tattoo artist to discuss options, they probably have lots of flash [reference pictures] you can look at to help you decide
