Take the kitty to the Vet. She is scratching not wiping her but. She may have worms or hemorrhoids. The vet will know what to do. She may need glands drained. You could call a pet food and supply store.

The very first answer you got is correct. Kitty has worms.
Most likely, tapeworms. If you look closely at her butt, you may see tiny white moving specs... shaped like a grain of rice, but a lot smaller.
The treatment is a one-time pill you get from the vet.
Tapeworms are transmitted through fleas.

Dragging thier bottom on the ground is usually the first sign of worms or other parasites. Also a hemorroid condition could exsist on their bottom. It sure deserves a closer look. Watch the stools closely, and check her bottom.

Hi there...when cats scoot their bums it generally means their anal sacs are impacted sometimes worms can also contribute to this behaviour. The Anal glands need to be expressed which a vet can show you how to do.

You could wipe her afterwards and spray her with a water bottle if she drags it on the carpet. You might want to switch her to dry food if she is eating canned because it can cause soft stools which are messier.

Sounds like an outside kitty to me. Time to put that cat to work chasing the rodents out of your yard. That's what I would do for sure! I have one indoor cat and one outdoor cat for similar reasons.

See the vet for getting her wormed. Parasites crawl out and make her butt itch.

I dont know for cats, but for dogs they drag their butt on the floor because they have dry skin on their crotches not because they have a poopoo butt.
for my cat we have to bath her and either cut the fur around her bum or soak her butt with shampoo....it sucks and its gross....
