would i be ok useing just 3 cloves and a half cinnamon stick and a little orange if i only wanted to make up one glass? what say you?

Smooth Merlot
Little brandy
Soak orange in brandy.
Warm it up
Put in the cloves and cinnamon stick
Why one glass it won't work on such a small scale? Make a large pan and invite friends.

why not i would use 1 or 2 cloves and dont forget it need warming

I'd say make up the full batch (one bottle of wine I presume?) and it can always be reheated! tis the season to be jolly and all that!

i think that sounds ok, it's really up to your personal tastes tho.
oh, yeah. Remember to take it easy with that stuff cause it gets me ridiculously drunk everytime!!
