Watch what you eat before you go to bed. Try drinking some warm milk with a little sugar in it to help soothe you. Don't watch any TV or read anything for about an hour before you go to bed. I use the Delta Sleep System CD when I have trouble falling asleep. It puts me in a very peaceful place. You may have to find someone to help analyze your dreams to find out what's bothering you...

So that your inner mind can tell you that there's something not quite right in your life, or how you feel about yourself.

Yep, observe yourself to figure out what's going on with you -- and then start taking small actions that lead you in the direction that you want your life to take. And, focus on happy thoughts (what you like about your life) or mediate before you go to bed.

Be mindful of what foods you eat before you sleep also.

Of course, if your nightmares are ptsd or from some trauma, then you do the same things but it will just take longer.
