7 WEEKS? thats not good. It took me a good month before FULL recovery. 2nd week i was finally walking on my own across the hall and back, but that was it. 7 weeks isnt good you better go back to the doctors and change medacine you take for pain. They screwed mine up for a few days, i was on half doseage. After all that i found out what i had (wasnt gallbladder problem) that surgery was the worst thing for me.

Even though i hate doctors because they only know what they are told to know. You might have to goto a different one. GL

Approximately 10 percent of patients who have been operated upon for gallbladder disease will continue to have symptoms after surgery. These symptoms are thought to be caused by spasms of the lower end of the common bile duct (biliary dyskinesia). However, they are rarely severe or disabling. Most postoperative symptoms can be adequately relieved by antispasmodic medication.
"The bile ducts take over the duties of the gallbladder. This may take three to four months before it works smoothly, and during this interval the patient may suffer from mild indigestion or pains caused by spasm of the common bile duct".
The patient should stay the same kind of diet he followed before surgery, that is, a bland low-fat diet. Fats, greases, raw fruits and vegetables should not be included in the diet.
If gallbladder has been removed, they cannot re-form stones in the gallbladder. However, a very small percentage of patients may re-form stones in the common bile duct or in the stump of the cystic duct which has been left behind.

I am so sorry. I know the hallow feeling. It took me three months to feel better but I had the full abdominal surgury. I wish I had some pill you could take or some great advice but I don't.
Your bloatedness could be gas and I would walk around the house if you feel up to it.

Doesn't sound right or normal to me. I had mine taken out and I never had to go through what your experiencing.
I would have seen my doctor if I had.
By the way did you know even though you had your gall bladder removed, you can still get gall stones? You can and I have. They can block the common duct and give you symptoms that you describe. Please see your doctor soon as possible.
