I think three cookies would be nice, do-able and easy.
1. The mexican wedding cookies, or snowballs or russian tea balls (all three are the same) which are a butter, nuts, flour and rolled in powder sugar after baking,
2. a chocolate chip or peanut butter cookie with a hershey kiss in the middle or
3.the magic 7 layer bars made with sweetened condensed milk
4. fudge
5. a drop sugar cookie that requires no rolling out or cutting out--just sprinkles on top, if desired.
I have all of these recipes. If you are interested, just write me, and I'll send them over. Happy Baking.

Ginger Biscuits
Ingredients
2 oz vegan margarine
1 oz sugar
4oz flour
1 teaspoon ground ginger
Blend the margarine with the sugar until it is a smooth paste. Add the ginger and flour and blend thoroughly. If it too dry add a teaspoon of water - it should come together in a dough. Roll out on a floured surface and cut out using a cookie cutter. Place on a greased baking sheet in a 200 degree oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Peanut Blossoms are really good. It's just peanut butter cookies with a Hershey's Kiss pushed into it. I make those alot. Homemade chocolate chip cookies are always good, and you can't really go wrong with chocolate chip.
I suggest making 2 or 3 different kinds of cookies. Recipes are alllll over the internet.
Good luck and Happy Holidays!

mom made cookies each and every Christmas. My mom in regulation makes some, yet specially candy. I baked some the different day, Snickerdoodles and Oatmeal Raisin Nut and No Bake Cookies besides as Sugar Cookies. next is Chocolate Chip Pudding Cookies. i do no longer do nicely with goodies so i will supply maximum away, if i will get them removed from my husband. i'm the final one in my kinfolk to lead them to. I have not any daughters to maintain on the custom and my son, isn't in a position to cook dinner/bake. My Aunt baked for our community common college for many some years. She is in her early Eighteen Nineties now, and continues to be making the No Bake Cookies. She now no longer bakes cookies by using her age. They have been the terrific nonetheless, all made with genuine butter, gentle and scrumptious.

These have a strong and unique taste.
Ffeffernusse (Pepper Nuts)
¾ cup butter or margarine, softened
1 cup sugar
1 cup dark corn syrup
2 teaspoons anise seeds
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon ground allspice
¼ teaspoon ground cardamom
¼ teaspoon ground cloves
¼ teaspoon salt
4 ½ cups flour
Sifted powdered sugar
Beat butter at medium speed until creamy; gradually add 1cup sugar, beating well. Add corn syrup and next 8 ingredients; beat at low speed until well blended. Gradually add 4 cups of flour to butter mixture, beating at low speed until blended after each addition. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a stiff dough. Cover; chill for 3-4 hours. Divide dough into 8 portions; roll each portion into a ½” thick rope. Cut ropes into 1” lengths, and place 2” apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until golden.
