I have sinus drip problems and that can cause bad breath. I use what is called a neti wash. You actually put 1/2 teaspoon of salt in a small four ounce paper cup. Squeeze the cup to create a spout on the paper cup, then hold your head upright and pour half in the right nostril until the water runs out the other side of your nose or down your throat, then repeat with the left nostril. If you have sinus drip, do this every day. It will clear your sinuses as well as prevent colds and bad breath. Brushing your tongue can prevent bad breath as well. I found that if I use vinegar to rinse out my mouth after brushing, it does a really good job of neutralizing my bad breath. It doesn't taste bad, like I thought it would either. Just make sure to rinse your mouth well, as it really works on the plaque on the teeth, and keeps on working to the enamel. So just be sure to rinse well. Vinegar seems to be good for a lot of stuff, as I am finding out.
Hope you are speaking without embarrassing breath soon.

Someone I know had the same problem. You might have a nasal drip. That causes bad breath. Also, what are you eating or drinking.. That can cause Issues as well. Make sure that your gums are strong and theres no Infection that's non-detectable. My brother has really bad breath too. Maybe gingivitis. Good-luck.

Brush your tongue thouroughly. 90% of oral odor is from your tongue(read it in a mag). Make sure you are brushing your teeth and tongue AT LEAST twice a day. If you are somewhere without a toothbrush after you have eaten a meal or snack then make sure you rinse out your mouth with water and have some chewing gum with you.

SVS Blog has the right idea. Mouth washes only kill the germs for approx. two minutes. Gums and mints etc., only disguise the odor. But the tongue harbors germs that cause bad breath and brushing it will remove them etc.

Brush after every meal, after drinking a dark colored drink or food rinse your mouth, if you can't brush have some sugar free gum or mint. ( I suggest trident). Oh yeah drink a lot of water and brush your tongue. you might want to consult your dentist if you conditions get worst.

Bad breath can stem from health problems to digestive problems. But the most common cause is from the back of the tongue, thats where bacteria lives and grows. Make sure you scrape your tongue. Also, your breath could be telling you that you have peridontitis or gingivitis...

You may have dental plaque (tonsil stones) at the posterior tongue which is chocked full of the types of anaerobic bacteria that cause bad breath.

Use tongue cleaner/sweeper/scraper twice a day after brushing your teeth!!!!!!!! The most common odor-producing region of the tongue is its posterior (back tongue) portion!! The posterior tongue is the MOST important area to clean!
